Welcome to our school community- a letter from our Headteacher
Dear Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your family to our school community. We aim to give your child an excellent start in education so that they have a sound foundation for future learning.
At Balfour Infant School we strive to put children first and foremost in all that we do. We offer a supportive and nurturing environment where children can develop a sense of self-worth and an enthusiasm for learning. We look to engage their hearts as well as minds. We are extremely proud of our induction programme, which we have found over the years has helped even the youngest children settle with a positive start to their education.
By the time children have left our school we hope they will be well on their way to becoming balanced, tolerant and caring human beings, who have learnt the art of self-discipline, the joy of working and achieving success from their work and the ability to think for themselves.
I trust you will find that Balfour is a happy and friendly school where children, parents and staff can work together. We hope that you will fully support your child, and the school, in the coming years and in doing so make the most of the partnership between home and school for the benefit of your child.
If you have any queries about your child starting school please email the school office and you will be directed to the person most able to help you.
